Sharapova beat Hercog 6-0, 6-2 to face Na Li, while Na Li defeated Peng 4-6 6-2 7-6(3).
Sharapova has had a good winning tennis lately, losing all grand slams except the French Open which she won. Whether she makes it to Beijing top is to be seen as she sails forward. But Li stands in her way for Saturday morning.
