World no.3 and Olympic gold medalist and US Open champion British Andy Murray plays his Shanghai Rolex Masters tennis tournament quarterfinal match against 41st ranked Czech Radek Stepanek Friday morning today.
Murray is in his best form ever specially after winning the gold at Olympics and the the US Open - his first Grand Slam ever. However, it was surprising to see Raonic beating Murray at Tokyo recently in hard contested match 6-3 6-7(5) 7-6(4).
Murray has met Stepanek five times before since the first met at Wimbledon 2005 and enjoys a 4-1 winning edge over the Czech. Murray last beat Stepanek in Monte Carlo 2011.
Stepanek has had a bad year so far, losing half of his ten matches played so far. Ironically he also lost to Raonic at Tokoyo as did Murray.
For today's match Murray is the hot spot.
