In his second round of Paris Masters match, world no.3 and US Open champion and London Olympics gold medalist Andy Murray of Britain meets 64th ranked French Paul-Henri Mathieu Wednesday evening today.

The French wild card Paul-Henri Mathieu moved into the second round of Paris Masters after he beat Spanish Roberto Bautista-Agut 6-4, 7-5. Mathieu is playing after almost a year's absence due to knee injury.
Both Mathieu and Murray have met five times in their career since they first clashed at Miami in 2007. Of these five encounters, Murray has beaten Mathieu four times. Their last encounter was at Beijing 2010, when Murray won the first round match against Mathieu 6-2, 6-3.
Though Murray is in his very best state of fitness and form, he recently lost to Djokovic in the Shanghai final. He also lost to Raonic at Tokyo. So in the last ten matches Murray has lost twice, but that should not cast any shadow on his fitness state.
Mathieu has lost five of his ten matches. He recently lost to Roger Federer at Basel 5-7, 4-6. For today's match, he as to prove his worth against the hot favourite Andy Murray, five years younger to him.
