When the 'present' world no.1 Victoria Azarenka from Belarus meets world no.7 Chinese Na Li in the last but most crucial match at the WTA Istanbul Friday afternoon today, there is much at stake for Azarenka.

Though world no.1 so far, Azarenka has been experiencing defeats and it is only her over 10,000 points (10, 190 to be exact) that are still keeping her at the top of the world. Russian Sharapova is right close behind with 9,115 points. If Azarenka wins against Na Li, she will not only qualify for the semis but would also secure her world no.1 ranking for year 2012.

But if she doesn't, she will not only allow Maria Sharapova to replace her at the top of the world, but would also exit from Istanbul too.

What are her chances against Na Li today? Well I would say 50-50 as the stats show that of the eight matches played by Azarenka against Na Li, she has won four times. Azarenka last beat Na Li in the quarters of the Madrid earlier this year.
