In the England Capital One Cup matches, Chelsea meets Manchester United Wednesday evening at Stamford Bridge.
The remarks by Alex Ferguson when he jokingly 'wished' Lee Mason, the match referee 'good luck' are being quoted as by many that instead of the teams one should be beware of the referee.
The remarks are seen in the backdrop of the fact that Mason has been referee in eight of the matches in which Manchester United played - and they won seven with one drawn. The award of nie yellow cards to the Man United players as against 12 to others is also an indicator of Mason's 'soft heart' towards the United.
But Chelsea should not be worried much as Mason has been referee with them in thirteen matches, of which the Blues won none and had four drawn So the 'predicted' favoritism to United does not figure out to a larger proportion that the remarks by Alex Ferguson be taken nothing but as a joke rather than being taken seriously. After all the managers, players and the referee are quite intimate to each other and such mild remarks should not go beyond gossips.
So let us watch this match scheduled for Wednesday, 31 October 2012 at 19:45 GMT at at Stamford Bridge.
