World no.3 Serbian Novak Djokovic thrashed American Andy Roddick6-2 6-1 in the round two of the Olympics tennis men's singles event match and moves on to round three. The match was played Tuesday afternoon.
For the second seeded Serbian, who is the Beijing bronze medalist, Roddick did not pose much of a problem and the match was over in just 54 miniutes.
Djokovic would now face Australian Lleyton Hewitt, who beat 13th seed Marin Cilic 6-4 7-5, in the third round.
In the women singles event, American Venus Williams moves a step closer to her fourth Olympic gold, as she beat Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1 6-3 to reach the tird round.
