Rafael Nadal will miss this Grand Slam as he thinks he is not ready for a major tennis event as yet. This leaves three top ranking players, less Nadal, to make it to the final. Although Andy Murray is coming fresh from his Olympic Gold, Federer and Djokovic are equally ready too.
In fact, world no.1 Roger Federer, who has the honour of winning the Wimbledon title for the seventh time this year, is likely to step on the hard courts of America and not likely to be mowed down by either Djokovic or Murray.
World no.2 Serbian Djokovic, the defending US Open champion, will not have to face either fourth ranked Andy Murray or top-ranked Roger Federer before the final match as he looks to defend his title. So this gives him adequate time to prepare himself to meet either of the last Wimbledon title winner and the fresh Olympic Gold medal winner.

On the ladies side, Serena Williams, the Olympic Gold Medlaist and Russian Maria Sharapova, who have not had good tennis this year, are being considered as the hot favourites for the final.
However, John Inser and Tomas Berdych on the men's side and Petra Kvitova on women's side can be threatening to the super stars.
So let us start watching the round one matches from today onward and see hwho would be the king and queen at the end of the tournamnet.
