Olympic Tennis: A new Olympic Record of longest tennis match

While Frenchman Tsonga beat Raonic in the Olympic tennis match make normal news, but when the match turns out to be the longest ever match played at Olympics, it makes headlines.

The laboriusly long match lasted for almsot FOUR hours, that is THREE hours and 56 minutes, comprising 66 games, which itself is an Olympic record. The match broke the previous longest match of 48 games, played between Fernando Gonzalez and Taylor Dent in Athens Olympics in 2004. Gonzalez won the bronze after winning the match 6-4 2-6 16-14 in a then-record three hours 25 minutes.

Tsonga beat Milos Raonic  6-3 3-6 25-23, which was really colossal and long match - setting a new Olympic record of the longest match - though Tsonga will not get a medal for this feat.
