It is Day-2 at Olympics and already the medal table has started to swell. But there are noticeable absentees and some upsets as can be seen below:

as can be seen, China is at top and there should not be any doubt about it - Like Beijing the Chinese are keeping their grip firm right from the outset. In fact the first gold of London Olympics was bagged by Yi Siling with victory in the women's 10m air rifle at the Royal Artillery Barracks.
It is Italy which is taking the second position, much to the surprise of many as the USA is sitting, uncomfortable indeed, at the third position.
Team GB has not done well so far, and where are the Russians?
